So, who’s the new kid on the block?
Its Brownie Pet Shop. A boutique pet store that has recently popped up in the Jumeirah Village Triangle (JVT) community, catering for the needs of your beloved pooches [and other pets].
And as you would have guessed the brand is named after the Pawpreneur’s own canine companion of years Brownie. “We adopted Brownie when he was only four months old. He is 13 years today and the centre of my universe,” said Khushboo, founder of Brownie Pet Shop.

More than just a pet shop
Launched just three months ago on July 4 (what a day!), Brownie Pet Shop is already gaining resonance in the JVT community. “The JVT folks has been super amazing to us. They are incredibly supportive and positive. Within such a short period of time, we already feel as if it’s been our home for years.”
So, what does the Brownie Pet Shop offer?
“Starting with a variety of pet food, toys and accessories, we offer grooming services too. Our groomers who have years of experience in handling animals are not only experts at their job but extremely caring too. What’s more, our cosy space can also accommodate up to 10 small dogs who can play together during the day.”
A labour of love
Knowing that the pet shop space is quite crowded in the UAE with several brands playing across categories, from mega to boutique stores, we wondered why a newbie would choose this segment.
“The day I opened Brownie Pet Shop it was like a dream come true. Something that I had passionately planned for years is now an actual entity,” Khushboo shared.
“Having said that, I’m also aware that we are a small fish in this big and competitive industry. And my aim is to educate customers about the right products for their pets. Importantly, I want to ensure that every customer who comes through our door leaves 100% satisfied. Having been on the other side as a customer [for 13 years with Brownie] I often felt as if something was missing in customer relationship. I want to change that with Brownie Pet Shop. That’s why I love assisting customers personally, helping them select the best products for their pets.”
Well, if I had to describe Brownie Pet Shop, I’d say it’s one of the most pawsitive places in the neighbourhood.
