Raw Cut offers fresh and natural food using from human grade ingredients. The food is made in a manner that strikes the right balance between muscle meat and organs, between vegetables and meat juice. It contains no thickeners, taste enhancers or colouring agents, and it is produced unheated to preserve the vitamins and enzymes avoiding the saturation of fats. The food is then shipped in a strict temperature-controlled shipping process of -18C right from the factory door to Raw Cut’s deep freezers in Dubai.

A look into the world of Raw Cut
As Raw Cut is all set to celebrate their third anniversary, we caught up with Abed to know more about the brand and how it is making a difference in lives of our beloved canines.
Why did you think of setting up a concept like Raw Cut?
In one sentence – because we believe that every pet deserves to live a quality life, and thus we make it our goal to produce the best raw food you won’t find elsewhere. It’s really droolicious as you’ve rightly said, nutritionally balanced and approved by our VVIPaws. I ask this question to every dog parent: do you want your dogs to eat healthy? And the answer is an affirmative yes and that’s why I set up Raw Food to make their dog’s journey healthy and happy.
Tell us a bit about your offerings.
Our offerings include eight different, expertly formulated fresh, raw meal recipes for dogs, organic dog chews and freeze-dried treats for both dogs and cats in five single protein variations. In fact, we were the first in the UAE to introduce nutritional bone broth meal toppers for both cats and dogs. Recently, we’ve also added meals for cats to our product range.
Since launch, how has Raw Cut resonated with the community?
When we started in 2018, there weren’t many companies promoting fresh feeding for pets in the UAE. Although there were a lot of pet parents advocating raw feeding, mostly homemade, for most others it was a time-consuming task to prepare raw meals at home that were complete and balanced. We are grateful that our product line has been very well received and appreciated by many till date.
Do you collaborate with animal rescue organisations?
Yes, we do. We ‘silently’ work with shelters/animal rescue organisations across the UAE. Our team is always active in the pet community with a goal to contribute in a meaningful manner. Be it with our time, food or any kind of involvement that will help these animals.
What are your future plans for the brand?
Well, we hope to continue this course. We are educating and updating ourselves every day on pet nutrition. Our team is working with and learning from pet nutrition experts around the world to introduce new products to constantly improve our existing product offerings.
Finally, how does your canine companion inspire you every day?
Zak has had a huge impact on me in more ways than I can count. We can learn a lot from these magnificent creatures. Zak made makes me constantly reflect on what it means to be there for someone, to be more present for people we care about, being protective towards them and even forgive them.
Besides his wisdom, Zak has a funny side. He doesn’t like me say, “I love you” to anyone. Not my wife, not my kids, no one! If someone else says, “I love you,” Zak doesn’t even care. But if he hears me say it, he gets jealous, protective and expresses it by barking at me right away. Zak has done this since he was a puppy and continues to do so till date. And I love ma boy.
