After the pet-friendly RAK Fine Arts Festival last weekend, it’s time to ‘Paws’ by the Beach this weekend. The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is all set to welcome dogs [and cats] at the Paws by the Beach free-to-enter pet festival. It will take place at the Turtle Beach on Al Marjan Island on February 26-27.

A fun day out with furries
The festival has been planned keeping pets at heart so you can expect to find water bowls and toys across the space. You will also get the chance to meet beautiful pawpreneurs selling ethically made, handcrafted and safe goodies for pets [and perhaps even humans].
Here are some more reasons to stop by and make time to ‘Paws’ by the Beach. There will be food, music, competitions and games for children as well as a fenced obstacle course for pets. The organisers have planned everything to the T to keep families entertained throughout the two-day festival.
An awareness platform too
Besides offering pet lovers the opportunity to have a fun weekend with their dogs and cats, Paws by the Beach also seeks to raise awareness about animal welfare. Starting with an opportunity to adopt rescues to festival will offer humans of pets’ access to information and services including veterinary care, health & wellness, transportation and much more.
RAK-based animal welfare centres such as Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre will be present at the festival offering pet lovers a chance to meet, foster and even adopt rescues. Who knows you might find your forever furry friend at this pet festival?
“The vision for Paws by the Beach pet festival is to provide a positive, nurturing and informative platform for the pet-loving public in Ras Al Khaimah and beyond,” the organisers state.
