Meet Ruby

Meet Ruby, the first VVIPaw of our brand new #FindAForeverHome series.

So, who is Ruby?

In one word, she is a rescue.

“A late-night call led us to a dog tied to a pole with the saddest face ever,” said her rescuer. “She was anxious yet ready to please, just to find love and a forever home.”

We are told that on her first day in a foster home, Ruby covered the face of her foster with kisses. She was gentle with the in-house cat and played comfortably with the dogs.

From being tied to a pole

More about gorgeous Ruby

Well, Ruby is a beautiful Great Dane mix. Anyone who is acquainted with the Great Dane breed will know that she is a large dog but with the gentlest heart.

Aged probably between one and two years old, more on the younger side, Ruby has an incredibly friendly nature.

She has already received her first vaccination, while the second is due in three weeks. Being a recent rescue, Ruby has not been spayed yet.

To learning to enjoy life again

Ruby’s forever home be like?

Since being left tied to the pole in a hapless condition, Ruby has been left scarred. Is that her fault? I guess not. She is slightly anxious and prefers company than being left alone at home for long stretches. So, a home with a stay-at-home human will be perfect for Ruby. And she promises to compensate with the slobbiest kisses and warmest cuddles.

Although Ruby may disagree, we feel she may not be suitable in a home with tiny dogs or very young children. That’s only due to her large size and playful nature. She means no harm at all. But Ruby will be perfectly fine with medium and large-sized dogs.

Now I’m looking for my forever home

A few things to note

A home with an experienced foster is what Ruby needs and a minimum of four-eight weeks to settle down. Who knows she might also turn into a foster fail!!!
