I can’t adopt! How else can I support animal shelters?

Adopting a dog is a momentous occasion in a pet parent’s life. But it’s a big decision that must be well thought out. When we come across social media posts about abandoned and rescued dogs looking for forever homes the immediate impulse can be – I want to adopt this dog. But what if I can’t adopt! How else can I support animal shelters?

There are several ways in which you can still support your local animal shelters. You can volunteer your time, foster dogs if possible. Alternatively, you can contribute towards food and veterinary bills covering annual vaccination, microchipping and neutering/spaying and treating any medical issues. In addition, you can also support the shelters’ upkeep.
