From airconditioned Bedouin tents to Arabic inspired wooden cabins and lodge with private shower, RAK Glamping offers many options to choose from. While humans can check the other details, here are some things that will thrill the VVIPaws – a large area to sniff and explore, many tennis balls to play fetch and we are told that there will be doggy ice-cream too. So, get ready to glamp with your dogs, take long walks amid nature, barbecue with furries by your side, trek up to Jebel Jais if you must and make some noise on Insta. What’s more there is a dog friendly beach too only 10 minutes’ drive away from RAK Glamping.
Over to stargazing
Do you want to sleep under the stars in the middle of the Arabian dessert with your dog by your side? Safa, the doggo mascot, and her humans Fabienne and Urs Eiselin make it possible for you at The Starlight Camp. It is a beautiful pop-up glamping spot surrounded by huge orange hued sand dunes just 45 minutes away from the Dubai International Airport. The Insta-worthy dome-shaped private bubble tent comes with a crystal roof – so you can literally sleep under the stars – Bluetooth speaker, electricity and other amenities. And yes, worry not a 4X4 will pick you up and drive you to the campsite.
Wait a minute – besides outdoor activities, what else is there for the pooches? They will be given a special dog bed, an outdoor tent for shade to cool themselves during the day, a specially made dog bar and poop bags too. You just have to arrive with your pooch in tow with their absolute essentials, almost all the rest will be taken care of.
For the more adventurous lot
If you are the kind who gets excited watching shows like Man Vs Wild, then we’ve got good news for you. Now you can have a real taste of adventure at the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp situated on a wadi on the way to UAE’s highest peak Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah. In short, this camp spot will help you to totally un-connect with the humdrum of the city and reconnect with wilderness. And what’s more, you can bring your dogs along. The cabin can accommodate up to two dogs against extra payment.
Unlike the other glamping spots, the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp is no frills. Besides offering some basic cutlery and utensils, it is largely self-service. So, remember to carry a bowl, bed, food and anything else that your dog might need during your stay.
