Well yes, Bella is a sprinter who almost caught a bird once. Bella runs so fast that she can confidently compete with Usain Bolt. In fact, she could have been named Bolt.
Massively popular in the neighbourhood park, Bella makes your heart melt. That’s what happened to me when I first spotted her as that new puppy in our neighbourhood. Every day since, while walking past her home, I look around if she is around to say hello.
Now Bella is almost two years old and sister to her three siblings – all brothers. So, she is the much-loved daughter of the household, spoilt rotten by her humans and lovingly called ‘Bella Rani’ (Bella, the queen).

One thing led to another
There is a backstory though. Before Bella came to home, her humans had adopted another pup who tragically passed away leaving the family absolutely devastated. Especially since he was the first dog that the family had adopted. While they were still reeling from the trauma, Bella walked into their lives. Like they say, what’s meant to happen will happen.
Bella’s hu-mom says, “There is never a dull moment in our home anymore. Bella is quite a personality, a heart stealer too. From barking at her own reflection to setting the rules, she is truly the heart of our home. Now it seems that she came into our lives when we most needed her the most.”
A true companion
So, while Bella is a sprinter who almost caught a bird once, she is also a calm companion to her three brothers – Ved, Dev and Vir. Especially during the large part of 2020, amid virtual classes, Bella could always be found sitting or lying around her brothers to give them company. And yes, she also got her share of TLC as brothers took turns to give her ample belly rubs.
In a way, Bella also made her young brothers more responsible individuals who now walk her, engage with her and even feed her sometimes. Bella is their comfort place. She is their true companion. “Adopting Bella is one of the best decisions we have made. And I encourage every dog-loving human to give adoption a chance. Dogs have so much love to give.”
