Clearly, we’ve a Marvel fan in the house! Our today’s VIP (Very Important Paw) is a dog called Thanos. And today is his Happy Bark Day. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this day than share his story with you all, our dear readers.

We’ve to ask what made you choose the name Thanos?
When we met him for the first time he looked like a quiet and sweet boy. We originally wanted to name him Mochi. But then we noticed his feisty attitude and for his size he is quite strong too. So, Thanos may be a villain in the Marvel Universe, but our Thanos is our hero.
How long has Thanos been with you? Is there a backstory?
We’ve been a family of three for years. Unfortunately we’ve lost three angel babies. After years of waiting, we finally got our wish, when our prayers answered and we found Thanos 🌈🐶 We are so lucky to have him.
What are his goofiest traits?
Oh, our boy is an absolute treato monster, he will do anything for treats. It’s really funny the way he takes his best friend toy Groot to where the treats bags are and pretends to be hungry. He shows it through his super expressive eyes. When he finally gets a treat, he runs around like crazy and does a happy dance. Sometimes Thanos pretends to be a K9 dog. He barks, sniffs and checks delivery boxes and food deliveries. He thinks as if all deliveries are for him. Thanos even investigates when he hears loud noises or dogs barking even if it’s just on TV. He’ll run to every part of the house trying to solve mysteries. I think this boy is an animal planet rolled into one doggo body. Sometimes he acts like a bird pretending to fly with them. He even talks to my friend’s birds or birds on our balcony. At the same time, he is a water baby just like a playful dolphin in water. He loves cats so much that he cries if he doesn’t spot one on his walks. Thanos even pretends to stealth walk on our sofa and then lies down on top of couch pillows like a cat 😻
What are some of your favourite things to do with him?
I love our do-ga (dog + yoga) sessions where he hoards the space and licks the mat. To end our practice, we always do a doggy and mommy dance which he loves. His dad loves their morning walks where they get to spend time away from mom 😉 They get to be kids outside the house, running and exploring. When they head back, they enjoy roughhousing and play some more. He loves getting treats from his big brother for doing a lot of tricks. Thanos can be quite a show off! But our most favourite thing is when he gives us the sweetest wet kisses, cuddles; it fills our hearts with pure puppy love.
On his Bark Day what’s that one wish you’d like to send out to the universe for him?
I wish for Thanos to experience the same love and joy that he brings to us. And we promise to take care of him and keep him safe forever and always.
If Thanos could speak, what would he tell you?
I think he would say: since day one you’ve made me feel special and loved. I love you hoomans too, and I’ll will fill your hearts with love and lick your faces forever. Now can I get an extra treato? 🦴🤣
