Ever wondered how to make DIY stuff for your dogs? You know creating something personalised for your beloved doggos? We will give you some tips.
How to make dogs feel special?
It is an open secret than us humans love to spoil our doggos with toys, treats and even special home-cooked meals. Of course, all these things can be bought from the market – there is so much choice. But to create something with our hands makes it special. Call me crazy but I think our doggos too appreciate the effort! Kidding you not, I have seen that even the health-conscious disciplinarian Mr. Popo doesn’t mind having an extra portion of the home-cooked meal.
So today when I saw the photo of a cool toy box on our dear friend Mozek’s Instagram profile, I had to do a post. Mozek’s human Krystyna loves to spoil her with various home-made treats, but this DIY toy box tops the chart. Take a look:
Here’s how to make DIY stuff for your dogs?
A chives basket has been recreated into a doggo toy box! And how?
“It is pretty simple,” said Kristyna. “I mixed some acrylic paints lying at home with water and coloured the sides of the box and wrote Mozek’s name with some paw marks on the front panel. Then I added a black insert to hold the toys and voila – it’s done! To be honest, I don’t like the colour of the insert so I might eventually replace it with a cooler leftover fabric.”
Well that sounds cool and not so difficult! Now I am encouraged to paint that wooden bed – a once-upon-a-time whimsical purchase for Mr. Popo who refused to sleep in it.

Besides turning the chives basket to a toy box, Kristyna also makes ice lollies at home for Mozek and she tells us how:
- Buy chicken bones from the supermarket – costs me AED 5 – and boil it well
- Drain the broth and discard the bones (Note: Don’t give cooked chicken bones to your dog. According to the American Kennel Club, cooked chicken bones can break and splinter, which can cause your dog to choke and can also puncture the gastrointestinal tract or get caught in his throat. This is extremely painful to your dog and can potentially lead to death.)
- Freeze it in an icemaker and voila – ice lollies are ready. It is healthy and helps doggos cool down especially after walkies during summer.
